Set in July 1895, the film follows Emma Vanderbilt-Cross, a young writer covering the social events of Newport, Rhode Island, for the Newport Observer. Amidst the balls and garden parties, Emma finds herself entangled in a murder mystery that unravels amidst the elite of New York society.
